“Unicorn Launcher” will support 3,000 businesses in digital transformation this year

The comprehensive funding program for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) named “Unicorn Launching – Unicorn Launcher” has just been launched by the Vietnam Institute of Corporate Governance Science & Digital Economy. Sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME), the program is committed to accompanying the business community until the end of 2025 with the goal of supporting comprehensive digital conversion for at least 20,000 startups and SMEs nationwide.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Hung, Acting Director of VIDEM, a senior expert of the program, shared that we are used to seeing a unicorn business as a digital technology enterprise with strong growth, however, “The unicorn launcher “Expanding the concept, inspired by the “unicorn” to talk about the miracles that any business can achieve in a short time with the support of the program.

The “Unicorn Launcher” program includes a digital ecosystem that supports and incubates startups and SME businesses. Participating businesses have the opportunity to be consulted and supported to perfect the legal system – human resources – finance – sales & marketing; well-trained and trained in capital – finance – administration – sales. In particular, businesses are also supported with technology platforms to help move the entire system to a digital environment as well as short- and long-term capital financing for business activities.

In December 2022, the program was implemented in the first locality, Phu Tho, with the patronage of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Phu Tho province. Accordingly, “Unicorn Launcher” sponsored 11 business transformation packages for 11 members with a total value of more than 1 billion VND.

More information with VietNamNet, a representative of VIDEM said that this year, the program aims to reach 100,000 startups and SMEs nationwide and support digital transformation for about 3,000 businesses.

Right in the first quarter of 2023, the Institute will continue to coordinate with Business Associations of some northern provinces such as Quang Ninh, Bac Kan … to deploy support programs to businesses.
