Tickets ‘sold out’ for Women’s World Cup opener

Dave Beeche, CEO of the 2023 Women’s World Cup, said the opening match between hosts Australia and Ireland on July 20 was sold out at the Accor Stadium in Sydney, which holds around 80,000 people.

FIFA says that approximately 1.1 million tickets have been sold for 64 matches in this year’s Women’s World Cup, which is being organized by Australia and New Zealand.

After returning from Europe, the Vietnamese women’s team will train for another 10 days at the Vietnam Football Training Center.

On July 10, the whole team headed to New Zealand. Here, teacher and coach Mai Duc Chung will have a friendly match with the host and Spain, before competing in the 2023 World Cup.
