One by one, the phones were dipped in a bucket of blue water. The incident took place at a high school in Henan province, China, according to Shanghaiist.
Going back to school after a week-long holiday in China, many students brought their phones to school. This practice is banned in many Chinese high schools.
The teacher confiscated these phones and asked the students to gather on the sports field. Here, the school treated the phone by dipping it in a bucket of water.
Another phone number was placed on the ground and smashed with a hammer. Video circulating on social media shows a teacher hitting the phone screen with a hammer several times until the screen breaks and the lights no longer turn on.
Local media did not disclose the name of the high school. A school representative said they have no tolerance for cell phone use in the classroom. When entering class, all must hand over the phone to the teacher.
