The introduction event “Handbook to prevent fake news and false news in cyberspace” was organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications on the afternoon of December 27 in Hanoi. This program is part of the project “Development of Vietnam’s press in the period of 2020 – 2024”.

According to the Deputy Minister, the Handbook is a very important tool, because it gives the community and Internet users, when participating in the digital space every day, a tool to jointly recognize and behave appropriately. and join hands to eliminate fake news and false news in cyberspace.

“Participating in the digital space, it is important to equip users with tools to improve resistance, recognize fake news so as not to share and distribute it. The handbook also helps to identify, in spreading fake news, what is intentional behavior, organized with malicious intent, to profit from it.”the Deputy Minister shared.

About the Handbook, Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (Department of Radio, Television and Information Technology) Le Quang Tu Do said that the goal of the Ministry of Information and Communications when developing this publication is to raise awareness of the responsibility on the Internet. cyberspace for Internet users in Vietnam.

The handbook also provides the most basic information and skills so that agencies, organizations and individuals participating in cyberspace have the general knowledge necessary to recognize, respond and effectively deal with cyber threats.
