To strengthen the management of online advertising, implement Decree Decree 70 in 2021 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree 181/2013/ND-CP on cross-border advertising management, time Through the Ministry of Information and Communications, many solutions have been implemented.
Specifically, organizing seminars to disseminate legal documents and deploying online advertising management solutions to brands and enterprises providing advertising services at home and abroad; set up irregular inspection teams for enterprises providing cross-border advertising services; review and work with businesses showing signs of violations.
The Ministry of Information and Communications, directly the Department of Information and Communications Technology, has also asked foreign businesses providing cross-border advertising services to remove infringing ads within 24 hours at the request of the Ministry.
At the same time, requesting advertising publishers and domestic advertising service providers to strictly control advertising activities on cross-border platforms, stop cooperating with advertising platforms with many violations; do not cooperate in advertising with websites/advertising platforms that violate the law announced by the Ministry of Information and Communications. To date, the Ministry of Information and Communications has announced 171 websites that violate the law.
The new way of the Ministry of Information and Communications in the management of online advertising over the past time is that the Ministry has negotiated with Google to reach an agreement to remove infringing ads such as medicines and health foods by sending photos. capture, no need to send infringing promotional video links; It is not necessary to specify the Vietnamese law provisions that are violated.
Along with that, the Ministry of Information and Communications also built a list of “clean” content (Whitelist) and “black” content (Blacklist) on Vietnam’s internet. In particular, the Whitelist includes electronic newspapers, electronic magazines, general electronic information sites, and social networks that are licensed to operate and continue to expand to websites, accounts, and content channels for information registration. to encourage brands and businesses providing advertising services to advertise on these pages.
Blacklist including brands, advertising agencies, advertising publishing platforms, infringing websites (websites, social media accounts, content channels, community pages) will also be publicized and encouraged by the Ministry of Information and Communications. advertising does not cooperate with such objects.
