With a new license valid until the end of December 27, 2032, CA2 can provide digital signature authentication services for agencies, organizations and individuals to use in public activities.
In the newly issued license, the Ministry of Information and Communications also clearly requires that the CA2 public digital signature service provider keeps the subscriber’s secret key to meet the provisions of Circular 16 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade with the digital signature model. from far away. The technical system of CA2 must also comply with the applicable technical regulations and standards on digital signatures and digital signature certification services in force.
Deputy Director of the National Electronic Authentication Center (NEAC) Pham Quoc Hoan said that, with the cooperation of the Ministry of Public Security and the Government Cipher Department, after a period of thorough examination, the dossier and the application for issuance CA2 license has been assessed by NEAC to meet the licensing requirements for digital signature authentication services under the remote digital signing model.
According to Nacencomm Director Phung Huy Tam, CA2 Remote Signing’s remote digital signature service has undergone a long process of preparation, from investment in research and development, testing, infrastructure investment and licensing. The service system complies with the regulations of the State and the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Along with being awarded the service provider license, Nacencomm also announced the launch of CA2 Remote Signing. By the end of 2022, the number of active public digital certificates is nearly 1.9 million, of which personal digital signatures account for a very modest proportion.

In fact, promoting the provision of remote digital signatures is a goal of many public digital signature service providers to contribute to promoting the development of personal digital signatures, following the direction of the Ministry of Information and Communications. Before CA2, there were 6 public digital signature service providers licensed to provide remote digital signing services including VNPT, Viettel, BKAV, MISA, FPT and SAVIS.
