How much is Mobile World CEO salary?
The 2022 consolidated financial statements of Mobile World Investment Joint Stock Company (MWG) reveal the salaries of leaders.
Accordingly, Mr. Doan Van Hieu Em, General Director of Mobile World Joint Stock Company, receives a salary of 1,779 billion VND in 2022, an average of 148 million VND/month. Mr. Hieu Em is responsible for managing MWG’s two largest revenue-generating retail chains, namely The Gioi Di Dong and Dien May Xanh.
Mr. Hieu Em is also the founder of smaller chains such as TopZone, which specializes in selling Apple products, and the micro-green Dien May Xanh that crept into the suburban area.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MWG, received a remuneration of 1,927 billion VND, equivalent to more than 160 million VND/month.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tai is a founding member, the soul of Mobile World. Since Mr. Tran Kinh Doanh stepped down from running Bach Hoa Xanh in April 2022, Mr. Tai has temporarily run this chain and has undergone many reforms. For example, the reduction of a series of inefficient stores in order to increase profit per point of sale.
Mr. Dang Minh Luom, member of the Board of Directors and Director of Human Resources of MWG, received an income of VND 1,343 billion, an average of VND 112 million/month.
Mr. Tran Huy Thanh Tung, member of the Board of Directors and General Director of MWG, receives a salary of 1,236 billion VND in 2022. Mr. Tung is one of the 5 founding members of The Gioi Di Dong, in charge of the financial sector, and is currently holding the position. General Director of MWG, the position left by Mr. Tran Kinh Doanh.
To date, only 2 out of 5 founders hold executive roles at Mobile World.
In the Board of Directors of the largest retail chain in Vietnam in terms of store size, there is also Mr. Robert Willet as a non-executive member. He received the highest remuneration, 2,234 billion VND. The level of income is interpreted as consulting costs.
In fact, Mobile World leaders will have a much higher income than announced above, mainly from the annual bonus shares. In addition, Vietnamese members of the Board of Directors all own a large number of shares of the company, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tai and related companies/individuals are holding controlling shares.
