Featured Products at the Semiconductor Chip Technology Expo

The highlight is the ship-applied mobile satellite receiving station equipment of the research team of Key Laboratory of Micro and Nano Technology, University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

According to Dr. Vu Nguyen Thuc, the mobile receiver consists of a satellite dish to receive satellite television signals. The device is mounted on the roof of the boat/ship and the satellite dish can change direction to help capture the signal accurately. With a compact size and fast signal tracking, the device can help meet communication needs and ship activities such as watching TV.

The sensor and control system only need to drift 0.1 degree below the ground, in orbit it can be up to a few kilometers, so it is difficult to catch the satellite signal. Therefore, the team spends a lot of time studying sensor control using programming algorithms. The mechanical part of this mobile receiver can be designed and machined with high precision using modern mechanical technologies.
