Meeting honoring businesses will become an annual activity

Attending the meeting on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Rabbit 2023 organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications were the heads of 18 typical digital technology enterprises, including: Viettel, VNPT, MobiFone, FPT, CMC, Vietnam Post, Be Group, VNPay, Economy Delivery, MISA, VCCorp, Sao Bac Dau, Bkav, VieON, MK, VMO, Savis and NTQ. These are enterprises representing more than 70,000 established digital technology enterprises, of which 48,000 are active.

Over the past year, the information and communication industry has continued its efforts and achieved many results with the “dual goal” of developing digital government, digital economy and digital society, and forming strong digital technology enterprises. of Vietnam to reach out to the world. Digital technology industry continues to be one bright spot of Vietnam’s economy. The industry’s revenue in 2022 is estimated at 148 billion USD, an increase of over 10% compared to 2021. Technology businesses also need to cooperate with each other, limiting the fierce competition mainly on price as in the past period.

Sharing the same view, Mr. Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of Viettel, said that in order to have coordination and cooperation between private enterprises and foreign enterprises, businesses need to sit together. In fact, Viettel has been doing some work with private enterprises such as FPT, CMC.

Affirming that businesses going abroad will grow very quickly, Mr. Tao Duc Thang also wishes to have a cooperation mechanism for state-owned and private enterprises to go to develop foreign markets together, thereby taking advantage of the advantages of foreign investment. each other’s strengths.

Sharing the perspective of a technology business that has made strong changes from outsourcing to Make in VietnamFPT General Director Nguyen Van Khoa said that the company has more than 200 products so far Make in Vietnam and set a goal in the coming time at least 10 new products per year. With the recommendations and proposals of businesses, leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications have answered and assigned functional units to act as focal points to handle and support businesses. The Minister of Information and Communications also directed the promotion of the establishment of a Policy Council, with many field groups with the participation of large enterprises, typical in that field.
