CMC ATI Institute receives a series of awards for artificial intelligence applications
Top 1 at the Artificial Intelligence Application Solutions Contest
CMC Technology Application Research Institute (CMC ATI) has just won the Top 1 at the 2022 Artificial Intelligence Application Solution Contest with a comprehensive solution to digitize and digitally convert documents and photo documents. – ORC.
The 3rd Artificial Intelligence Application Solution Competition organized by the Department of Information and Communications, the Youth Union in collaboration with the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Association of Software and Information Technology Services, aims to find artificial intelligence application solutions in the fields of life.
This year’s contest has 210 teams, including 2 groups: group 1 is the artificial intelligence challenge (AI Challenge) with the theme “Event Retrieval from Visual Data” (Event Retrieval from Visual Data). organized according to the standards of international competitions; Group 2 is an application of artificial intelligence (AI solution).
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dong, representative of the CMC ATI team participating in the contest, said that the research team and the solution can digitize all types of documents and documents, including handwritten documents, forms, and records. .. serving administrative procedures. Particularly for handwritten text, the team’s model can recognize with over 95% accuracy based on machine learning on a set of more than 10,000 types of Vietnamese handwritten data.
Double Award for Vietnamese Speech and Language Processing VLSP 2022
The CMC AI team of CMC Technology Application Research Institute (CMC ATI) continued to receive a double award at the Vietnamese Language and Speech Processing Contest – VLSP 2022 (Vietnamese Language and Speech Processing) with one first prize and one prize. a Third Prize.
This is the 9th contest organized by the Vietnamese Speech and Language Processing Club (VLSP) and the Vietnam Informatics Association. VLSP 2022 organizes 7 contests on speech and word processing, including: speech synthesis, speech recognition, speaker verification, component parsing, multi-text summarization, Chinese – Vietnamese machine translation, multilingual question and answer about image content.
Specifically, the CMC AI team won the first prize with the solution “Transformers model for multi-domain data with object detection for multi-language visual Q&A” at the “Multi-language visual Q&A” contest. image-based”. At the same time, the group also won the third prize with the solution “Transformers model with the ability to model long texts for the problem of summarizing multi-text summaries” at the “Vietnamese multi-text summary summary” contest. .
With the contest “Multilingual Visual Q&A based on images”, teams have to solve multi-disciplinary research problems: Natural Language Processing and Image Processing. This contest first appeared at VLSP 2022. The task of the groups is to build models/systems that must be able to answer questions about image content in natural language. Another challenge for the teams is that the questions can be in Vietnamese, English or Japanese.
The contest “Vietnamese Multi-Text Summary Summary” (VLSP Abmusu) is one of the useful language processing tasks to solve the problem of text data mining. In the era of information explosion, effectively exploiting data has great potential but is a difficult problem, consuming a lot of time, money and effort. Receiving a set of input documents, the summary system must select or generate a brief summary for these documents.
CMC Institute ATI, formerly known as CMC Technology Application Research Institute (CIST), was established on July 15, 2014. Currently, CMC ATI has nearly 60 members. The main functions of the Institute include scientific research and technology development in the field of IT – Telecommunications; providing scientific and technological services such as consulting, technology transfer, participating in training and retraining to improve professional skills, domestic and international cooperation; besides experimental implementation and trial production from scientific research results. Currently, CMC is focusing on the trend of shifting R&D products with high applicability and commercializing solutions. The change of the name of CMC CIST Institute to CMC ATI Institute also marks a new step in the development strategy of CMC Group. CMC’s strategy in the next 5 years is to become a digital corporation and provide digital transformation services for domestic and foreign businesses, especially in the region, and at the same time become a global corporation.
