Recently, on his personal Facebook page, the CEO of BKAV, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quang, revealed that a Vietnamese has a decisive role in the success of ChatGPT.
According to the CEO of BKAV, this Vietnamese is Mr. Le Viet Quoc, one of the four co-founders of Google Brain.
It was Le Viet Quoc who developed a natural language processing algorithm and Google developed this version and released the Transformers algorithm.
This algorithm helped Open AI rely on it to develop ChatGPT chatbot.
It is known that Le Viet Quoc was born in 1982 in Huong Thuy (Thua Thien-Hue province).
After graduating from Quoc Hoc Hue School for the Gifted, Mr. Quoc continued to study at the Australian National University (Australia) and then worked as a PhD student at Stanford University (USA) on artificial intelligence.
In 2011, Quoc co-founded Google Brain, along with his advisor Dr. Andrew Ng, Google PhD student Jeff Dean and Google researcher Greg Corrado. The goal is to explore Deep Learning on the basis of Google’s huge data volume.

“Unexpected discovery: A VIETNAMESE PERSON plays a decisive role in the success of ChatGPT
With the principle of Not revealing the essence, Not rooting for the problem and Not drastic The results will be average, after a few technical reports from my collaborators, on Sundays, I focus on 24 hours continuously, fiercely researching for the results. The simplest nature of your friend ChatGPT is floating around the world.
After discovering the deepest nature of ChatGPT (will be shared in the following articles), threading all the problems, I discovered something unexpected and extremely interesting: VIETNAMESE PEOPLE have a decisive role with success of CHATGPT !
Briefly like this:
ChatGPT is developed by the company OpenAI based on an algorithm called Transformers (AI model), developed by the Google Brain team in 2017. This is also the core technology that helps Google Translate to have high quality today.
In 2011 Google Brain was co-founded by 4 people, including Le Viet Quoc from Thua Thien Hue Vietnam.
In 2014, Le Viet Quoc successfully developed a natural language processing algorithm called seq2seq. INTERESTING, thanks to this algorithm of Quoc, Google developed an upgraded VERSION with the name Transformers mentioned above.
Thus, Le Viet Quoc plays a decisive role in the world’s success in Natural Language Processing in general and ChatGPT in particular.
Too great is not it”
