Badakhshan province’s director of humanitarian affairs and disaster management, Mohammad Kamgar, said the disaster happened on the afternoon of February 10 due to heavy snowfall in Raghistan district in the province.

Raghistan district also recorded another avalanche last week, leaving two people and three others injured.
