Apple stops producing iPhone 14 Plus?
iPhone 14 Plus was launched to replace the iPhone 13 Mini series due to user demand with low-screen iPhones. However, it seems that screen size is not a factor that helps 14 Plus be popular, because iPhone model This new one doesn’t get good sales either.
According to Ross Young, a display supply chain analyst, screen orders for the iPhone 14 Plus have fallen by nearly zero, as Apple adjusts production orders to match user demand.
A revealed chart shows Apple’s orders from November 2022 with Phone 14 Plus decreased significantly and then disappeared from the chart in January 2023. Some small shipments of iPhone 14 Plus returned in February to replenish Apple’s inventory. While the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models were all in high demand during the first quarter of 2023.
The chart also shows that iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models accounted for 75% of shipments in December and are expected to reach 80% by the end of February 2023.
However, according to Young, the total order of the iPhone 14 product line is still lower than that of the iPhone 13.
The reason for the low sales of iPhone 14 Plus may be that this is a new iPhone model, with a price close to that of the iPhone 14 Pro, while the configuration is only on par with the iPhone 13 Pro Max launched a year earlier.
